Embodied Awareness - three-part workshop

Embodiment, in broad strokes, is why do you do the things you do and how does that shows up in the way you move and carry yourself through life.

Embodied awareness is making meaning out of a way of being, a way of moving and carrying yourself in life and how does that translate into the nitty-gritty of life. Along with the emotions that are generated due to that, and what do they tell you about where you are and where you want to go, in life.

When we do yoga there is the obvious balance, focus, concentration, and building strength. However, I have found that no one really tells us how to take that yoga off the mat and how to make it practical. What do that balance and focus translate into the outside of a yoga class, especially when we are in the daily grind of life? When life throws unexpected and sudden circumstances in our path and in which we have to find ways to thrive, how can our practice inform our choices? How will the yoga give us an insight into who we are so that we can manage life’s transitions with ease and gratitude?

Three-part workshop on

A. Boundaries

B. Commitment

C. Codependency

In the workshops we will sift through different values, re-evaluate our definitions of each of the topics mentioned above, and develop our core values. Using that, we will develop a practice that embodies those values so each of us can use that and springboard into life.

We will work with intentions and motivations. We will do a deep dive into why good intentions are not enough and need to be followed by appropriate action. What does appropriate action mean in the context of each of our diverse and unique lives? And how can each one of us sift through our values to lead us down a path of appropriate action that is alignment with the kind of person we are.
